Lady Scoundrelle, Heather
Owner / Lead Designer / Production Manager
The concept for Scoundrelle’s Keep began in 2003 when Heather made her own wedding dress. In the design of her dress she incorporated a corset; the first of many to come. Soon, many friends and their friends were asking Heather for their own corsets, and a business was born.
Following the urging from friends and colleagues to make additional pieces to co-ordinate with her corsets, new lines were soon introduced. Scoundrelle's Keep has had many successful lines come down the runway; examples such as her Fall 2011 Collection: Alkali, and her 2010 Collection: Kismet, and the runways of Atlanta, Boston, Minneapolis, and Seattle.
Most of the popularity surrounding Scoundrelle’s Keep can be credited to her amazing fan base. Many clients come back time and again, often bringing their friends with them. Word of mouth seems to be the main way that clients find Scoundrelle’s Keep. This has helped her business grow from a room in her house to a spacious studio in St. Paul.
Heather continues to design eye-catching and innovative corsets and other creations for dressing her esteemed clients, one elegant outfit at a time.
Thanks to all our friends, friends-of-friends and countless other referrals; Scoundrelle’s Keep steams forward with hundreds of corsets made to date, with many more hundreds of other designs to come!

Meet the Minions!
Elizabeth
Production Assistant / Sewing Guru / Button-Mama
Elizabeth is everyone's button-mama! She joined Scoundrelle's Keep in early 2009. She's the go-to person for costuming help, and she has the Master-Level awards to back it up. In the studio she works a ton with the sewing, which helps us out of whatever snafu we've managed to tangle ourselves into. Elizabeth's favorite piece is her full-length Lyric Gown. |
Saffron
Junior Designer / Production Assistant / Artist / Offspring
Saffron joined the crew before there was a crew! As the creation of our Great Scoundrelle, the talents of Saffron are shining brighter each and every day they set their mind to another project. Around the studio, they're a constant helper with corsets and pockets, or the occasional plushie. They have also been mastering the embroidery machine and the programming for it, and they are responsible for many of the custom embroidery designs that are exclusive to Scoundrelle's Keep. Saffron is seen here with a Furry Costume that they designed and constructed themselves. Saffron's favorite piece is their Brocade Cincher. |
Barb
Brilliant Seamstress / Go-To Sewer-on-the-Fly / Mother of Lady Scoundrelle
Responsible for bringing Heather into this world, she also taught her the basics of sewing, and inspired her to be the woman she is now. If you think Heather is prolific at making clothing, you should see Barb at work. She sews many of the items you see in the booth, including the Lulu skirts, Theater skirts, and the Kaylee dresses! |
Kit
Social Media Guru / Hospitality Coordinator / Model / Booth Babe
Much like her personality, Kit is an amazing, outgoing socialite with a big heart and smile to match! Kit was introduced to Scoundrelle's Keep in 2008. She is sometimes found around the studio, helping at conventions or online checking on comments and making sure the writing on the page is correct (see: making sure *my* writing is correct). She is currently helping with the growing Social Media side of Scoundrelle's Keep. Tasking herself with monitoring all the sites for your comments and questions. Kit's favorite piece is her custom Pink Base Ravenna. |
Mr. Jay
Web Developer / Resident Techie / Ginger Minion-for-Life / Roadie
Jay was introduced to Scoundrelle's Keep through Minion Crystal at CONvergence 2012. He immediately made friends with everyone, and eagerly began the road to being a minion! As proof, he kicked off the event by breaking a mirror when helping to load things up after the convention was over - and thus began his 7 years of Minion labor. Oh darn. Jay can be seen helping around the studio from time to time with various things; cutting and burning all the laces, cutting fabric, or grommeting all the things. More recent, he has taken on the responsibility of keeping this site up-to-date. He also helps to make sure all the computers work like they are supposed to. Jay's favorite piece is his custom high-collar vest! (Yes, that ->) |
Our Wonderful Crew From Yesteryear
Rin
Assistant Designer / Model / Minion-of-all-trades
Rin showed up to Scoundrelle's Keep in November 2009 after meeting Heather through a mutual friend. They were first a client and everything sort of went down hill from there. What began as just moral support, and an extra set of hands in the studio quickly changed after they inadvertently memorized the website that Heather realized their true usefulness.
Rin has does a bit of everything, from designing, sewing, and, planning events, to selling, promotions, and updating the website. They can sometimes be found hawking Heather's wares at a convention or modelling them down the runway.
Rin's favourite SK piece is their red patent-leather Ursula corset.

Crystal
Minion / Model / Resident Badass
Crystal arrived into Scoundrelle's Keep in the Summer of 2012. Before officially joining the crew, she was just modeling for us.
In the studio, she's our gorgeous plus-size fit-model/cutter/sewer/pin-monkey/whatever else we can conjure up for her to do. She has helped out with our conventions and just generally keeps us cool.
Crystal's favorite piece is her Ravenna corset.

Shannon
Minion / Helper Dog
Shannon was an official intern through MCTC back in 2011 and just kind of stayed for a while.
She helped out around the studio with the cutting and sewing. She was also the one at conventions who would take you and use you as her personal dress up doll.
She’s only a little obsessed with fluffy things…
Shannon's favorite piece is the first one she ever got; her Lulu skirt.
